So I decided to take a trip to the Santa Monica Pier on Monday, 5/14/12, after I was finished with class in order to relieve some stress and relax. I took a bag of chips and a Dr. Pepper, ate and drank while watching the waves. I took my longboard with me with the intention of riding on the bike path within the proximity of the pier. I decided, however, to ride the two miles down to Venice beach because the idea sounded pretty awesome. It definitely was. I mean, just picture cruising on a path with the whole ocean coastline in your view and the bright, tan, warm sand all around you. Not everyone has the opportunity to do that, so I took advantage of it. Anyways, once I reached the center of Venice where numerous performers and vendors are around, I decided to stop to look around to see if I see something interesting. I knew I was going to find something or someone interesting because..it’s VENICE BEACH! What I didn’t know is that I would find the YouTube sensations Nick Rutherford and Beck Bennet, the stars in “The Theatre of Life” series, making a video right as I was about to stop riding on my longboard! They were filming as I passed by, so hopefully I don’t get edited out! The picture above is when I approached them after they finished their video. I asked them if I could get a picture and they said, why not? They’re hilarious and great guys! I actually tested my luck and stuck around to see if I could find KassemG as well but I didn’t succeed. Haha, it was worth a shot. Hopefully next time I go to Venice I’ll get lucky once more! Thanks for the pic Nick and Beck!

I’m seriously just sitting here waiting for an email, phone call, letter, orsomething from UCLA saying that admitting me was a huge mistake and they actually meant to admit someone completely different than me or that the system glitched and accidentally showed me an acceptance letter when I was meant to get a rejection letter.
I mean, I can’t seriously have gotten in… Not to UCLA.
I guess I should commit to them before they change their minds haha.
In response to your concern about UCLA making a mistake on your acceptance: Stop waiting for that call/email/letter. They didn’t make a mistake when they accepted you. :) This was actually something they brought up at my orientation because many students, including myself, thought that the school had made a mistake. Admission officials carefully review who they send out acceptance letters to make sure that these type of mistakes don’t occur. If they sent you an email, it was for you and nobody else. Congratulations on your achievements. :) Assuming that you’ve determined that UCLA will be the school that you’ll be attending this fall, welcome to the Bruin family! :) If not, I still wish you happiness to whichever path you end up following.

Picked up this hobby recently. It’s such a thrill going downhill; it is definitely a workout for the quadriceps (well..one of them). I want to upgrade my board already though. :|
